Night Exterior Lighting in Corona Renderer (Part 1)

 

 

Hello everyone, today we will analyze the night light of the exterior in Corona Renderer with the example of the finished scene from Evermotion, plus we add the effect of depth and fog with Corona Volume Mtl.

Have driven) Open the scene and understand that it was created in V-Ray and now it needs to be converted to Corona.

 

 

1. Open Render Setup => Common => Assign Renderer => Production and select Corona Renderer.

 

 

2. The next step is to run Corona Converter. Click the right mouse button and select it. If for some reason it will not be there, then go to MAXScript => Run Script, go to the folder Corona Renderer, open and run Corona Converter.

 

3. Click Start Conversion.

 

4. Next, we need the sun, yes it is, because it always shines and even at night!

Go to the Create tab => Lights and select Corona from the menu, then click on Corona Sun.

 

5. Place it in the scene for as long as you like.

 

 

6. Next, add the sky Corona Sky, for this click on the button Add Corona Sky environment. And set Intensity to 0.

 

 

7. Now Corona Sky needs to be set up in the materials editor. To do this, click 8 or Rendering => Environment and drag the sky into the material editor and change the default values.

 

 

8. And last, the sun and its pivot should be in 0 as in the picture and in the real world.

 

 

Run the render and get a simple night lighting of the exterior.

 

 

In the next part, add depth and fog with Corona Volume Mtl.
